Beastly behavior
Speaking of dogs, jeers to people who find pleasure in the pain of innocent beasts. An Alsea drug raid this week turned up 15 pit bulls, dogfighting paraphernalia and the buried corpses of more dogs. Scum.
Few news items are wholly good, or wholly bad. After quakes in Chile destroyed plywood plants, Roseburg Forest Products added 23 jobs in Coquille to help fill the gap. Cheers for the local jobs, but tears for Chile.
Little by little, air service is improving in North Bend. We’re up to three daily round trips to San Francisco, and two to Portland. Cheers to SkyWest Airlines and airport leaders, for persistence and steadfast faith.
