I have to brag

So Mr. X was around at lunchtime. I thought we could meet up for a bite to eat. These are generally grab and go type of meals…you know pick a fast food restaurant, get it quick and eat it quick.

I didn’t want to do that…instead we had a little mini picnic in our old house. I went to one of the local grocery stores for a deli sandwich (we spilt one called the Pub with roast beef and blue cheese crumbles), a couple of drinks and a bag of the pretzel crisps (you get like a 11 crisp for 23 carbs and about 110 cals) They are tasty and a few really do go a long way.

The sandwich was probably high in calories and not exactly carb friendly but it was better than a burger, fries and a coke (I got a 1-liter bottle of water, Mr. X a vitamin water). And that is my goal, eat things that are better than the quickest thing. One thing I’m finding is that they may not always be “low calorie” but they are lower than a burger and fries.

Oh, and yeah, I forgot to mention, I never had a burger this week! The worse thing was a philly cheesesteak and sweet potato fries — still bad but it could have been worse!
