Question: I want to know if it is legal to make a left-hand turn onto a one-way street when you are sitting on a two-way street? For example, you are sitting at the red light facing north at Fourth Street and you want to turn left on Commercial Avenue. No traffic is headed west, so you proceed to turn west while the light is still red. Didn’t you just run a red light and create a hazard by crossing oncoming lanes of traffic?
