Question: Our taxes for the Lower Umpqua Hospital are going higher every year and it seems we are getting fewer services for them. Broken bones are sent to Coos Bay and heart affairs are sent to Eugene. Even physical therapy cases are sent to Florence.
Recently, 16 people were laid off. Where is this money going? Has the hospital director had a raise? She makes $100,000 a year now.
