Man rides on car hood in his underwear

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

If they were clean underwear when this stunt of stupidity started l’m sure they aren’t clean anymore!

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police expect to file charges against a 57-year-old man who was wearing only underwear in frigid temperatures when he hopped on the hood of his girlfriend’s moving car during an argument. Police have yet to identify the man or his 28-year-old girlfriend, saying they’ll release the names once they sort out what charges to file.

Police were called about 3:20 a.m. Thursday by someone reporting a man riding on the hood of a car, screaming at the woman driving it.

The woman had a bruise under her left eye and police said they found drug paraphernalia in the car.

Uniontown is about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh. The region has been hit by heavy snows and overnight temperatures were in the teens on Thursday.

Teen crashes car into school, drives down hall

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

This really should start with “There was this time at band camp . . .”.  I’ll bet he was just in a hurry to get to class and couldn’t find a parking spot.  I applaud his effort at defeating tardiness.  Now off to the pokey, don’t pass go . . . you know the rest.

SHORELINE, Wash. (AP) — Sheriff’s deputies said a 17-year-old boy crashed his parents’ car through the doors of Shorecrest High School in Shoreline, then drove it down the hall. The car finally stopped 75 yards later when it hit a security office. Two school workers were still on the property and heard the crash.

Police found the teen on school grounds about an hour and a half after the crash late Friday night. He was taken into custody and then brought to Harborview Medical Center for a mental evaluation. Investigators said they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role.

The boy, from Lake Forest Park, is a student at the school. He was not injured.

moneyfist1 Man buys car, finds $200K in counterfeit cashBALL GROUND, Ga. (AP) — One north Georgia man got more than he bargained for when he bought a car from a towing company late last year. Officials with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that Tye Kuykendall found $200,000 in counterfeit money inside a hidden compartment behind the back seat of the car.

Authorities said Kuykendall bought the car after it sat for more than three years in an impound yard after being towed by Fulton County police in 2006.

Authorities said he was fixing a gas leak when he discovered the secret compartment.

Cherokee officials have called the U.S. Secret Service to help with the case.

Man makes wrong turn, sees train approaching

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

In checking the stats for a 1998 Nissan Sentra and that of a locomotive I am going to have to say that I give a slight edge to the train.  It’s time to abandon the car right away and film it for YouTube.

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A man whose car became stuck on a set of railroad tracks bailed out before a commuter train plowed into it. Danny Ray Olsen, 62, said he took a wrong turn in Ogden and got his 1998 Nissan Sentra high-centered between two sets of rails Monday evening. He said he saw lights approaching in his rearview mirror and decided to get out.

Utah Transit Authority officials estimate the northbound FrontRunner train was traveling about 55 mph as it approached. The operator hit the emergency brake but there wasn’t enough room to stop. The train hit the car, pushing it more than 100 yards down the track.

The train was nearly empty. No one was injured and no citations were issued.
