Now that's what I am waiting on

How is this a crime?  The crime should be McDonald’s failure to provide fat, tasteless, non nutritional chicken tenders when we want them!   We are addicted to fast food, when they hold back our fix, there are consequences!

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Police say an Ohio woman punched through a McDonald’s drive-through window because Chicken McNuggets weren’t available.

Police were called Friday to the restaurant in Toledo.

Police say 24-year-old Melodi Dushane was treated for injuries, then jailed. She pleaded not guilty to a vandalism charge. She was released on a recognizance bond and ordered not to have contact with the restaurant. The phone number for her home address isn’t listed.

A manager at the McDonald’s declined Monday to discuss the incident.

Tipsy customer pays $72 for taco and refuses change, telling Ohio restaurant ‘Merry Christmas’

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Okay maybe it’s just me but I have to ask why would the police be holding the money at all.  As far as I know overpaying is not a crime if it’s the customer that does it intentionally.  Sounds to me like a Christmas Tip.  Christmas El Grande!

SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) — So much for the value menu. A Taco Bell manager in Ohio says a man who appeared drunk walked into the restaurant earlier this week and handed him $72 for just one taco. The manager tells police near the northern Ohio town of Sandusky that the customer who seemed to be in his early 20s refused to take back the money and told workers “Merry Christmas.”

Manager Aaron Ohm says he thought for sure the man would return for his money, but he so far he hasn’t shown up.

Police are holding on to the money as evidence and say if it’s not claimed in 60 days, the store manager will get a late Christmas gift.

Man’s private football party crashed by deer

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

I guess everyone wants to get in on a good football party.   This deer was lucky to be in Ohio, here the doe would have been stripped and in freezer bags even before the police arrived.  I am not sure if there is any regulation about hunting season in your own living room.

LIMA, Ohio (AP) — A man in Ohio said he had to do some running of his own while watching football on TV when a deer came crashing in through a window. Jeff Berger said he managed to get out of the way when the animal charged at him Sunday evening inside his fiancee’s house in Lima in northwest Ohio. The deer jumped on the living room sofa Berger had been lying on.

The deer, which authorities said appeared to be a doe, had smashed through a patio window making a noise that Berger said led him to fear someone was trying to break in to kill him and fiancee Marianne Tate. Neither was injured.

Police officers arrived and chased the deer from behind the couch and out the front door. It was last seen going into nearby woods.

‘Gold’ rings stolen from shop just brass

Monday, November 16th, 2009

I guess it is true, all that glitters is not gold.  In this case these brilliant thieves just didn’t have a clue.  Here’s your sign!

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio jeweler says thieves who smashed their way into his store and got away with rings are in for a surprise when they try to sell them. Henry Triplett of Henry’s Jewelers in Toledo says what appeared to be thousands of dollars in gold rings in his display cases were actually rings made of brass and worth barely 25 cents apiece.

They were dealers’ samples in the style of genuine gold rings that Triplett had safely locked away, out of view.

He says the real cost of Friday’s break-in will come from replacing the front window on his shop and the shattered glass on 13 display cases.
